If you’re into Zero Covid, you must of necessity believe that we can solve all respiratory viruses by merely staying home for a few weeks. That’s how stupid you are.

That's something that has always fascinated me about the movement. The science behind it (no human contact = no transmission) is something a young kid can comprehend. And you don't need technology, vaccines or medicines, just the medieval method of getting people to stay at home.

So it could have been put in practice say in 1918 or 1957 or 1981 or at any point after viruses were discovered. Shouldn't the fact that it was not make the ZeroCoviders think that maybe their brilliant idea is not so brilliant?

Exactly, same with masks. Weird how the massively effective anti-virus mechanism of putting some cloth over your nose and mouth was never noticed by any civilisation anywhere before the late 20th c. as a means of preventing disease.
