You have failed to notice the natural history of life on earth, which never solved all respiratory viruses. Perhaps this is one of those 'problems' best dissolved rather than solved. The long-term approach requires us to build health, not any kind of particularized immunity.

If you're going to get into a cult, Zero Covid seems like the worst one to pick. No orgies, no cool compounds, no aliens, not even ecstatic meditation sessions. Just sitting around on zoom being told you're a hero. Lame.

That's something that has always fascinated me about the movement. The science behind it (no human contact = no transmission) is something a young kid can comprehend. And you don't need technology, vaccines or medicines, just the medieval method of getting people to stay at home.

So it could have been put in practice say in 1918 or 1957 or 1981 or at any point after viruses were discovered. Shouldn't the fact that it was not make the ZeroCoviders think that maybe their brilliant idea is not so brilliant?

only a rich elitist would believe that. "why can't everyone just go to their summer cabin and live off of their 1 year supply of emergency rations? surely everyone has these things." really they don't believe it though. they are just using this to get richer.

Seasonal flu was historically low this winter - Public Health England tested 680,000 people for flu and has zero positives. Also, the RCGP estimates this winter had 1/10th the number of flu cases of last winter. (And dunno about you, but I haven’t got a cough or cold all year)

it‘s almost like we traded influenza for Sars2 you know there are manifold other respiratory viruses still circulating, right? from rhinoviruses to rsv.
