To me the etiology of the narrative flip on covid origins is nearly as important as the disease origin itself. "Murmuration of starlings" behavior is plausible, but I want to know what really happened.
I assume, some combination of Nicholas Wade explaining very carefully the state of the evidence, in terms journalists and politicians can understand; together with Covid no longer being a focus of media anxiety & narrative control as US tries to end containment & move on
