the political support for mass containment, at least in germany, rests largely with this demographic. there are many other malign actors in politics and the bureaucracy, of course.
I'd say the support in the UK is across many age groups though I didn't check the data for that. Many educated people believe that lockdowns work: the educated might be the worst. They've all been worked over by the propaganda.
it is scattered here too, but dead-eyed lockdown zombies are primarily the retired set. also, they’re the key constituency of the CDU, primary political party driving lockdowns
