I‘ve said this before, but Corona is above all an intellectual assault. I hate that the most. It‘s so insulting: All the time, every newspaper, everywhere, unsupportable, ridiculous, obviously wrong theories delivered with this pompous air of absolute authority.

Media information management, even outright propaganda, is notorious the world over, but Corona is a new milestone, both in the sheer volume of coverage (well over half of all broadcast media), and in its clearly stupid & contradictory nature...

... or even outright denied. This is largely because the public health establishment has convinced reporters that maintaining public confidence in containment & massively lying about the risk of Corona is itself a public health measure that will save lives.

You get somewhat similar behaviour from the press in wartime, when populations have to be mobilised, but it is another thing to face this insane messaging in a time of peace and demobilisation, and on behalf of an effort that (unlike war) has no clear end or victory condition.
