I‘ve said this before, but Corona is above all an intellectual assault. I hate that the most. It‘s so insulting: All the time, every newspaper, everywhere, unsupportable, ridiculous, obviously wrong theories delivered with this pompous air of absolute authority.
You spend your intellectual life trying to carefully prove matters of causation, with complicated footnotes and bitter insider academic flame wars, and asshole journalists write articles, the premise of which is „We did X before cases fell therefore X was effective“

I came home after years abroad, I don‘t think I‘ll ever leave. Maybe if Austria gets more sane, I‘ll move across the border into the Tirol, if this home office nonsense never ends.

To me it seems like a test to identify the opposition to their future legislation. To see how far they can push with a certain narrative...
