      omg that's so sad, all the cicadas want to do is emerge and bone and lay their eggs and die, is that so wrong? we should leave the little hornbugs alone and let them live their best life!

      My understanding is that they're a crop pest but if they're in the yard or a park or whatever, they're probably doing things that are good for the ecosystem like aerating the soil and what not.

      of the 10 plagues, journalists are the 8th: locusts. in this case they also eat cicadas. next plague is darkness, when particulates are released into atmosphere to blot out sun (global warming BS). finally comes death of firstborn (meaning unclear) and then we are freed.

      there is no sign that god will withdraw the journo locust plague anytime soon and every reason to believe they will go on eating cicadas long after the sun has turned black.
