"Globalisation" is a physical process. Ethnical groups started mixing a couple thousand years ago and this process in ongoing. It can be accelerated by wars and displacement or hindered by politics. You really have a limited understanding of the bigger pricture.

I see it as a way to acknowledge the unknow. It also helps humans though pain. Church however is a simple instrument of power. My standard question for Christians is this: Do you tolerate other religions, especially the older ones, or do you see your god as the only one?

Religions which do not accept the current state of scientific knowledge and focusses only on the unknown is not something our species should carry forward. There is room for creation but "genesis" is simply opium for a indoctrinated minority :-)
