Work colleagues, etc., have routinely expressed to me their certainty that the ‘numbers’ will decrease with spring/summer weather, suggesting that here in Bavaria anyway, everybody understands the seasonal angle.

I think they will just default to “it’s the vaccines”, but then there’s a good chance cases rise again in the fall regardless. Wonder what they say then.
