There's a strain in fringe "nationalist" thought that would throw out the theory of relativity because it's Jewish. And yet oddly these people are fine with Maiman's invention of lasers.
The people this is not-so-subtly directed at have indeed questioned relativity on these grounds.

Well fair enough, the rest of us can hang on to our nuclear reactors and bombs. Lots of people of the Jewish persuasion involved in inventing those. They seem to work OK.
