... Corona behaves like it does in France in French-speaking Switzerland, like it does in Germany in German-speaking Switzerland. Okay, the Swiss are hugely federal, the cantons have a lot of autonomy. Still, how is that managed, how is that an artefact of diagnostic machinery?
Remember that in Switzerland, the respective medical establishments are heavily staffed by people from across the boarder. The differences could be due to training of French, German or Italian medical staff.
I avoided mentioning Italian Switzerland because it’s full of a bunch of Milanese, so you have the effect in both directions (patients & doctors). Still, having differently trained doctors gets you these insanely different rates of infection?
Could be simple misdiagnosing and mistreatment case. I've looked at Italian data... allegedly the virus was circulating as early as sept.2019 (for sure in November of that same year) yet mortality rate only increased right as they started testing/treating FOR it in March '20
yes, I am also convinced it was in Italy by November, the case of the 4 year-old in Milan.
I guess cowards don't live longer than brave people. Or, for those who prefer boring language: placebo is real. No use in treating it as a weird quirk. And why wouldn't it function on every level of society?
placebo effect is also in many ways astonishing (though some of the things claimed for placebo are much exaggerated) otherwise, I reject antiseptic scientism and think being open to conspiracies or strange supernatural possibilities is an important aspect of being human.
