Germany has one of the oldest populations in the world, & so the entire country is governed for the benefit of retirees. We have turned the whole land into a massive nursing home, where everyone is compelled to behave like an immune compromised recluse. How farcical.
I spoke some weeks ago with a friend from another country in Europe. It's basically the same situation everywhere. Retirees are the most important and most loyal group of the electorate. They watch public TV 24/7, perfect for official propaganda. Win them and you will rule.

It’s both. The olds are primary consumers of state media and evening news programs, where Corona hysteria is constant, and targeted precisely at all their anxieties.

yes, they added the group of recovered in the last few weeks, as the idiocy of their plan was too ridiculous otherwise.
