Okay, how about this "smart guy". I agree with your sentiment. I also have a master's degree in marketing and understand, as you fail to, that when you start throwing out caustic terminology and "clever" respellings to dodge Twitter, nobody will give a shit about your argument.

that great swathes of them have done away with their fields and do pseudo-scholarship, and travel for fun to fake conferences on their massive research budgets: this is a feature, not a bug for them.

there are no allies to be had in these institutions, and anybody trying to reform them will be immediately excluded, even more efficiently than they have already excluded many scholars with original ideas and rigorous research programmes, because they found them threatening.
