-also people who vastly overestimate the risk of Corona to young people. If you think 1/100k (it’s actually much worse for the 18-30 age group) is minuscule odds you‘ll feel even better about an 18 year-old getting the actual virus.

you guys realize that myocarditis is a super common symptom of covid for young people right? it's ironic you're boogey-manning the thing which you're simultaneously trying to trivialize

please tell us, how you came to believe myocarditis is a “super common” corona symptom.

yes. A long time ago, a report came out that myocarditis was a lot more common. Since then it has been refuted. Regardless, I see 1.4% myocarditis rate for young ppl with covid. Thats way larger odds than the 1/100K figure you're shaking about

one figure is based on screening studies, the second is based on severe adverse reactions reported to health authorities. help me understand why you think these two figures admit of comparison.

help me understand why you think 1/100k is an argument to not get vaccinated?

that’s not the relevant rate and it’s not the argument I’m making either

Also, I must say that 1/100K itself is a decent argument not to get vacc*nated if your probability of dying from covid - ASSUMING you get covid - is less than 0.02%. Vacc*ne should be far safer than virus for healthy people, not just a little bit safer

^and this is so, because the risk of mortality or severe complications from Corona are not evenly distributed across the entire demographic, but rather concentrated in an unhealthy minority, and risk of adverse reactions from vaxx has a totally different distribution.
