      Ok will check that later Eventually this guy has access to some private data regarding the ventilation of icu by type of bed @nicolasberrod check his TL maybe Data.gouv used to publish occupancy rate overall but it lasted for a month only I guess 🙈

      Part of this wrinkle, must be that only a part of cases are reported with information as to hospitalisation status. of 140.789 cases reported in week 15, only 89.745 had information about hospitalisation (yes or no), of which 3.965 were hospitalised.

      yes. but lets say hosp are underreported by 140/89 = 1.55x then the ratio total hosp / ICU is still completely different than in other countries maybe a journo picks this up and asks at the press conference.

      That may well happen; moreover, the ICU numbers are almost totally complete, but the hospitalisation stats are very incomplete. That is, only a subset of infection reports include information, about whether the person was hospitalised or not.

      Even allowing for this, as @CoronaReduit points out, it looks like DE hospitalisation numbers are still abnormally low relative to ICU occupancy. Two possiblities: 1) We've had reports that a significant portion of Corona ICU patients are 2nd-wave holdovers.

      2) Despite all isolation procedures, Corona outbreaks within ICUs should be considered. These could easily inflate the ICU statistics.
