Put more crudely, "neoliberalism" feels like a term the left uses to deny responsibility for, or dissociate itself from, the ultimate expression of its power, now that it has nearly complete institutional dominance.
I have the impression from your profile, your sympathies might lie on the nazbol side. Sieferle also thought "communism" was (with fascism) the last attempt to head off the systemetisation that ended up eclipsing politics with the advent of mass society.
