@phl43 is the Academy the same in France? Or even worse because everyone just translates the dreck from English without double checking original sources?
Anglophone world is much worse in my experience. In Germany, where I am now, we are maybe 20-30 years behind US.

Yeah, I don't think we're as far behind as the US, but it's not as bad, although it's getting worse. Ironically, one of the factors may be that French universities are very poorly funded, which may have slowed down the cancer because old professors are replaced more slowly.
