There will be some mortality and pulmonary damage among adults, but ideally kids will have multiple mild infections and develop broad resistance in later years. This early & repeated exposure seems to be a key aspect, of why other human coronaviruses are so harmless.

Yes if you extrapolate SARS-2-attibutable mortality will essentially vanish in subsequent years once it's properly propagated through the existing population. Immunological memory is amazing.

But it would prevent new strains, and the old ones would fester out. Anyway, point was: bombing society without an actual solution of ending it is rather silly. Either bomb with the intention of getting rid of it or adapt to live with covid as a normal flu-ish thing without bomb.

SARS-2 is impossible to eradicate. All highly infectious zoonotic respiratory viruses are.
