I think it‘s underestimated, how many plants you should have in your apartment. Always get a few more, and try them out for a few weeks. If it really is too many, you can easily give them away or bring them to the office.

not a very original rec, but I like the zamioculcas a lot. it likes indirect light, will survive a nuclear holocaust, and is very glossy and exuberant.
