We‘ve long known the greatest risk of infection is indoors, & for a year, we‘ve endured rules that confine people inside & restrict their activities outside. Some „aerosol researchers“ say as much & it‘s treated like a New Thing by the press.https://www.sueddeutsche.de/panorama/aerosolforscher-corona-ansteckungen-fast-nur-in-innenraeumen-1.5261772 …

Before 2020, when epidemiologists actually wanted to prevent disease (rather than seek political power), there was a whole philosophy of contagion: That humans wld interact regardless, & the goal should thus be not to stop this activity, but to move it to contexts of least risk.

None of this is about preventing disease. If it were, there would be nothing but outdoors events right now: Outdoor theatres, outdoor museums, outdoor cinema, outdoor education. All to forestall indoors interactions. Think how fantastic that would be actually.

Kids on educational hikes, outdoor flea markets, beer gardens and restaurants outside with heaters, maybe even sometimes bonfires, late night movies under blankets in the park with girlfriends & beers. Instead, it‘s about political repression, surveillance, and control.

I would love classes outside, even in winter. Worth some discomfort.

kids should be outside as much as possible, it would be great for them regardless of weather.
