Before 2020, when epidemiologists actually wanted to prevent disease (rather than seek political power), there was a whole philosophy of contagion: That humans wld interact regardless, & the goal should thus be not to stop this activity, but to move it to contexts of least risk.

None of this is about preventing disease. If it were, there would be nothing but outdoors events right now: Outdoor theatres, outdoor museums, outdoor cinema, outdoor education. All to forestall indoors interactions. Think how fantastic that would be actually.

Kids on educational hikes, outdoor flea markets, beer gardens and restaurants outside with heaters, maybe even sometimes bonfires, late night movies under blankets in the park with girlfriends & beers. Instead, it‘s about political repression, surveillance, and control.
