States have constructed Corona to be an insoluble problem, against which they propose only the most destructive, protracted solutions, with unflagging determination. Either they must surrender to the virus, destroy our whole way of life, or be driven from power.
Anyone that believes that these folks are just going to cede the power they have established need to look at history. It is going to be a fight no matter what.
a conceivable scenario is they give up after they‘ve gotten the concessions they want, though I agree, I‘m not holding my breath.
