And: If hospital/ICU capacity were the reason we are locked down, wouldn‘t there be a massive push to expand it? By reassigning & drafting doctors, drafting support personnel — basically what you would do in a war? There‘s nothing like that at all. The whole thing is a lie.

In Canada, medical spokespeople declare that "it's not as simple as adding beds, we need trained staff too"—but this is never followed by an indication that such staff are being urgently obtained or trained. We're sacrificing our freedoms so the system can avoid having to adapt.
We have the same statements here. in war they can make trained medics and trained pilots in a few months. We have boatloads of doctors in less-than-urgent specialties, cosmetic, etc., who could be drafted into new roles as battle surgeons. Nobody bothers or cares.

There was a similar dynamic during the Iraq War. USG: "This is an existential battle for freedom." People: "So you're going to institute a draft, like in WWII?" USG: "A draft?"
