Corona, we are told, is the challenge of the century, and yet in this great struggle against a respiratory pathogen, all of our units at the front (vaxx centres, contact tracers, the entire diagnostic apparatus) relax their efforts over weekends and holidays.

Well I'm sure ammunition production went down on weekends even in wartime. If treatment or diagnosis went down on weekends that would say more

diagnosis is undeniably also scaled back on weekends, at several levels: fewer tests are administered, because indeed fewer sick patients are treated; fewer samples are processed by laboratories; and many regional health offices don’t report statistics over the weekend.

in this analogy vaccines are defensive weapons. do countries at war slacken their defensive efforts at the weekend? vaxx production is the proper analogy to munition production.
