I'll never forget the UK Health Secretary literally threatening to ban all outdoor exercise last April because some people were "breaking the rules" by sunbathing in public places. If this was truly about protecting our health such a thing would not have even been contemplated.

They've convinced people in the US to wear masks outside, while they exercise, alone, in the heat of summer. And it seems no one reads any research about the harm hot, sweaty virus and bacteria-laden masks do to them.

This can't be that hard to understand. It's not that going outside is more risky, but rather that people who go outside tend to also enter enclosed space with people of other groups. It's about maintaining small exposure capsules.

Are you serious? We have police patrolling our parks scolding people and sometimes even issuing citations. Düsseldorf issued an ordinance forbidding people to spend time on park benches on the banks of the Rhine.
