      2. Zooming in, we see that Corona's *share of infections* declined precipitously after week 14 2020. In week 14 2020 (30 March to 5 April), almost 1 in 3 SARI cases were Corona. By week 20 (17-23 May), only 5% were.pic.twitter.com/zWdDSuKds0

      3. We are in week 12, near last year's peak for respiratory infections. Corona is a far higher portion of severe cases – 50% – mainly because influenza has disappeared. The overall number of SARI cases is lower. After Easter, Corona cases will steadily declinepic.twitter.com/1sqFcUkVbD

      We will possibly get another bump in deaths from the current late-season wave in the coming weeks, but possibly not. At least in Germany hospitalisations are rising quite slowly now, infections concentrated among younger people.

      Are these activist doctors, trying to force containment measures by sending more patients to the ICU and thus creating the appearance of more severe cases? Something similar seems to have happened in Sweden, where Corona deaths are like 135% of excess mortality

      In Germany only about half of them are ventilated. One suspects a significant portion caught Corona in hospital and were admitted for other reasons.

          Also, when the fall wave was taking off, the CEO of Helios clinics said a lot of the ICU cases could just as easily be treated in ordinary wards.
