Not only is it something that you can’t broadcast your virtue with as easily you also can’t screen people visually for if they’ve used hand sanitizer sufficiently or not.

They did in Brazil. It was disgusting when you'd shake people hands afterwards because I'm sure the stuff people ended up buying was cheap knock off stuff

interesting. I spent part of the summer in Switzerland, and I noticed it was largely used in place of masks, i.e. stores would have mandatory hand sanitiser but no mask requirement
