I don't understand how the Astra Zeneca vaccine is being banned-didn't it go through the same rigorous testing regimen as the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines?

The problem we're in, is policy has linked lockdowns to the vaxx, and because lockdowns are so harmful, they make almost any vaxx risk tolerable. AZ is clearly dangerous but not as bad as lockdowns.

Lauterbach, one of our biggest lockdown enthusiast MPs, said this fairly explicitly yesterday. It's almost like wrongheaded public health interventions screw up everyone's incentives and make honest good medical treatment calibrated to the individual impossible.
