    I’ve never seen a movie that felt more like playing Call of Duty in third person view than 1917. I kept waiting for “Checkpoint Reached” to appear on screen every time the characters made it past the next obstacle. Live action cut scenes! It’s uncanny.

    Really enjoyed this piece on the rosy future for gaming. If parents let kids have devices earlier in life games would be even better off. For now Disney has small window of distribution advantage on children's minds when they're really young.

    I’m not a huge NYE guy but it’s clear that the next frontier in sky shows after fireworks is drone formations. I’d like to see one. If I had to guess, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics opening ceremony may be the largest drone performance in history.

    It was fitting to read ‘s letter in Hong Kong, which has a pall over it. I walked past protestors yesterday who had blocked the path to my hotel. At dinner my local friends gave what was a eulogy to the city. This Is a Country for Old Men (who own lots of real estate).
