As a person of color, when I see alt-right villains like Richard Spencer, Milo Yiannopoulos, Stephen Miller, and memes with Pepe the Frog flash the upside-down OK sign, it’s intimidating. Signs evolve based on the context of how they are used—regardless of how they originated.
