Me: Zola, you can't pee on the carpet. Pup: No prob. How about the wood floors? Me: Nope. Not cool either. Pup: Got it. I'll hold it. Me: You're amazing. Thanks for understanding. Pup: Ooooh.... We never discussed the coffee table. PERFECT poop spot. 🐕💩🤦‍♀️

Although hippocampal CA4-dentate gyrus show greatest atrophy with normal aging, CA1-3 better predict progression to Alzheimer's disease.

Amyloid and cerebrovascular injury may synergistically promote cognitive impairment in normal aging.

In MCI, cerebral blood flow is reduced and correlates with white matter lesions but not atrophy. More implications for vascular dysfunction in prodromal dementia.

Previous rock-star of a house-trained pup has suddenly taken to eliminating on ALL of the floors (thanks to some new medications 😟). Seeking pee/poopy deterrents and attractants for training. I've heard vinegar/citrus and ammonia, respectively. Other recommended cure-alls?

Any other dogs obsessed with ice cubes? Training my *eccentric* pup to appreciate doggie treats by freezing them in ice cubes 🤷‍♀️

My sweet Zola, the most bizarre of pups, turns her nose up at delish doggie chow, treats & human food, except, wait for it ... cheese, ice cubes, & sauerkraut (?!) So the way to her belly is freezing her food in an monster ice cube or dousing it in sauerkraut or melted cheese 🤔

Any doggie food or treat recommendations for the pickiest pup in the world? She literally only wants to eat cheese.

A journal is charging $600 per figure to publish in color *online*. Print charges are understandable, but it costs nothing to display color online. Publishers, please stop the price-gouging so we can put our valuable money towards research!

Think you're past the middle-aged slump? Think again ... mid-life dissatisfaction may, in fact, peak at the ripe old age of 47.2! h/t

Heard a stat from radio today about "life satisfaction" hitting a nadir around age 47.2 ... does anyone have a reference for this study? Seems older (and more depressing) than I'd expect! My gut suggested that existence was "all downhill" after age 30!

Never seen my pup so excited for food as when I cook myself up some . Either she's a veg at heart or that's some well-executed imitation meat!

Hey doggie parents, any recommendations for stimulating pup games/puzzles they can play alone? Hoping to keep my dog engaged while at work all day, and chew toys aren't going to cut it.

In people with normal CSF amyloid levels, Aβ42, t-tau, and p-tau predict progression to dementia. "Normal" amyloid does not necessarily mean low risk
