Not seeing the update yet, I'm on Sprint, could that be the reason?pic.twitter.com/YcFVhsdiuf
Hi Gabe - yes, Sprint reviews and approves all updates before releasing to their customers. It should be on the way to you soon.
Is this the case even if you bought the phone from @essential and are just using their service? I used to get monthly updates when you folks tweet about it. I switched to Sprint 3 weeks ago and I don't see the latest update yet.
Hi there - Sprint reviews all updates before releasing to their customers. They're typically pretty quick with this.
I got my phone directly from @Essential yet @sprint controls the updates because I am using their SIM card/service? If I port over to @TMobile , will I be able to get updates the day they are released? Do I have to reset my phone to remove the changes Sprint has done to it?
It doesn't matter if you bought it from Essential (open-market model). Sprint still has to approve the update if you're using their network. I also use an open-market PH-1 on Sprint. See here:https://support.essential.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015443807-Phone-not-downloading-latest-software-update …
Thanks! Just checked now and got the update.

Hi there - Sprint released the update earlier today.
I'm with Telus, haven't gotten the update yet.. is there a reason why?
Hi Patrick - the release has been approved by TELUS and is rolling out now. Check your Essential Phone for the update.
Thanks for the quick response!!
