    Political parties and representative bodies, such as the Senate, Congress, and municipal councils, have done little to engage [people with disabilities] and ensure their equal participation in running for political office.

    People with intellectual disabilities living in Mexico have little to no visibility in politics. Mexico has an obligation to ensure people with disabilities can effectively and fully participate in political and public life on an equal basis with others.

    México: Excelentes noticias desde Colima, que ayer se convirtió en el 6to estado en despenalizar el aborto. Con este avance, menos mujeres sufrirán innecesariamente. La criminalización no impide abortos, sino que los hace inseguros y pone la vida y salud de las mujeres en riesgo
