    CLOSURE: SCDNR has closed all gated roads into the Jocassee Gorges in norther Pickens and Oconee counties this morning due to winter weather. The road to Sassafras Tower has also been closed. Gates will be reopened when the weather threat has passed.

    The winter weather advisory expanded to include the mountains of Pickens and Greenville Counties early Thursday morning. Areas could see up to 3 inches of snow.

    A water line at the intersection of Woodruff Road and Miller Road was damaged during the overnight hours. Greenville Water (GWS) is making repairs however this will impact morning commuters heading eastbound on Woodruff Road and on Miller Road. Local businesses will be impacted.
