Said this on another thread, but worth its own tweet. Workaround for case insensitive indexes in : Store partition/sort keys lower case and unaltered strings as attributes. Query keys with lower case conditions, display unaltered strings from item attributes.

launched Parallelization Factor (PF) to help customers process streaming data faster without making changes on /. Users should use PF with caution though. A high PF could lead to throttling issues if concurrency limit isn't adjusted accordingly.

Did you know you can replicate existing objects in S3 buckets? It requires a support case, but it *is* possible!

Ken has done some good things with CloudPegboard for folks who want to monitor info about various AWS services (you choose which ones). It's nice to see this becoming free for individuals. Best feature: Ken listens to feedback about how to make the service better.

Asking for a friend: Are there any good tools to monitor and debug memory usage on AWS lambda running nodejs12.x? Self-promotion ok, if identified.

Great questions- 1. yes there are ways to help! Start local find out what organizations are around you, since they are often volunteer, they almost always need tech help of some sort. Get involved before a disaster, it makes it easier to help during/after.

For those still confused about the appearance, the underlying cause is a lot of data points without data. When consecutive data points have data, CloudWatch draws lines between the values, but without large dots. When a data point is isolated, it draws large dots.

Everyone should learn to write an Athena user-defined function, and be willing to create federated query connectors. These are immensely enabling capabilities.
