The instrument boom was safely deployed yesterday evening!
The ‘in situ’ science instruments on the boom will help measure the environment around the spacecraft, including the passing energetic particles of the solar wind.

The final of
#SolarOrbiter’s deployments was also carried out this morning. The high-gain antenna (HGA) is a much larger, more powerful communication antenna than the two SolO initially uses to communicate with ground teams after launch.
