Articles says half of the mass comes from the dark matter but in Universial ratio it is %27,Why does milkyway has more dark matter?

The article says more than half of the mass, because its actually close to 90% according to the ESA link below. I'm not sure of the reason for those specific amounts. But, if I remember correctly the formula(estimation) for weight is W=F= m*acceleration(due to gravity) But, what do we mean here by the acceleration in terms of the galaxy. I do not want to contradict but I think they calculated the MASS and NOT the WEIGHT. Help if I am wrong.
