The focal species of my PhD, Forsteropsalis pureora, is my favorite harvestperson every day of the year. But don't you think he's just the perfect Halloween critter with that fancy orange racing stripe? Not to mention the festive orange mites sucking him dry🎃Spooky!

A long-jawed orbweaver (Tetragnatha sp) demonstrates how spiders suspend themselves and climb across single strands of silk: very carefully, and with tiny toe-hooks.

Came across this female Forsteropsalis pureora harvestman (Opiliones, Neopilionidae) munching on a stick insect drumstick. Upon closer inspection, there was another much smaller visitor to the leg buffet: a springtail (Collembola). Ngaruawahia, NZ
