Expectations vs. Reality
We both love SH4 a lot, but there was definitely a vision for this game that got lost during development and we're so curious as to what really happened. https://twitter.com/TrashHeap64/status/1289408178703216641 …pic.twitter.com/2NtWzz14Js

The first time I watched a playthrough of SH4, I didn't have the sound on because I was deathly terrified of the possibility of a jumpscare. Let me tell you, that was the most terrifying game I'd ever not heard. The patients especially gave me the worst nightmares.

God they are easily one of the most fucked up and creepy enemies ever, and it's a crime that the sound design resulted in burps in the end

I went to bed on the couch that night and could barely stay asleep, and almost had a heart attack when I opened my eyes to see the silhouette of my mom standing over me lmao. The "safe room" hauntings were still pretty genius, though. Definitely see the P.T. roots there.

Absolutely! I think that's why I loved PT so much since it reminded me a lot of SH4. That's one thing I really loved that SH4 and PT did which was focusing on ghosts moreso than traditional Silent Hill monsters!
