Agreed, it would be nice if they just had a handful of systems that are introduced early into the game (that don't overwhelm new players) that last throughout your entire experience rather than being a gimmick for each expansion

You're right about that. Legion did a lot of things great but also not great things like legendary's but i had more fun. BfA wasn't a bad expansion but it missed the memo what made Legion great. I miss the speed of combat from Legion, still to many abilities on GCD.

Legion was the most fun I've had with WoW and I think it was because of the artifact system and how every activity you played made progress on leveling your weapons (solo play, dungeons, WQs, raids, pvp, etc all mattered!). Plus I loved going after new appearances!

Legion did what TBC and Wrath did for me back in the day, and yet BfA missed all of that..like what where they thinking?

Yeah, I think BFA was a lot of experimentation that ultimately just didn't work out for a lot of us especially with how much we got in Legion. Islands sounded great but man, what a slog after running those hundreds of times.

If they made islands soloable with scaling difficulty like mage tower, I think a lot of people would have been happy with em. Make transmogs + mount drop rates higher with the difficulty and I'm sure lots of people (including myself) would be grinding those daily

Damn i never thought of that, islands are now one of the most boring stuff in the game and yet when you tell it like this it could have been so much more.

I was also very excited for Nazjatar, but I got pretty burnt out on that too. If they had mounts and special transmog sets behind manapearls it would give me the incentive to go after them knowing that the reward is guaranteed instead of being behind RNG

Mechagon is a bit better than nazjatar i only want that wheelmount and so far no luck. Blizzard really needs to move away from a lot of stuff that just isn't fun to do like you said it gets boring, tedious even my attention span will be short.

Same! Also I just learned the other night that in FFXIV that if a certain raid boss drops a cool mount, if the mount itself doesn't drop the boss will instead drop a token that you can farm to guarentee buy the mount from a vendor. I think it's like 99 tokens but still!

Just knowing that option is there in case you're not lucky with drops is very nice. I wish WoW had that for raid/paragon mount drops.

What the f..that is even more awesome. Endless raid runs be it solo or with a group for just that mount and it never drops getting this way is so much better.

Yep! My friend was helping me duo a pretty easy boss so I could get tokens for a sword transmog (which only cost like 9 tokens, though the boss itself can drop it too) and my friend got a mount they were after on our last run. It felt great!pic.twitter.com/46fPUVUrTC
