Don't you have to get approval from the original artist tho? Thanks for the insight.

A remix ? Sorry when I look at the gogo gif nft, the only difference I see is the bitboy logo on the weapon. I don't call it a remix, it's 100 % plagiarism
-
still a remix. you might not like it. but it's a remix. hate to break it to ya.

It shows zero class for Bitboy to not attribute the original in a remix, and while thats a legal grey area, its no good ethically. If its remix culture, say its a remix. Otherwise its just theft.
-
I think the original artist can sue bitboy legally, and he will win

the relevant US law does not require permission from the original artist; rather all that is required is "transformation" https://medium.com/@collindyer/parody-doesnt-infringe-215608bfc292 … if u get permission = license to me: simply adding a logo to another's work is not suff't "transformation"-->so license is req'dpic.twitter.com/chrVpU2veZ

however, if it's MAKING FUN of the original rather than just ripoffing, it's parody and that's ttly fair game,
