You can nag me! I filed https://github.com/mozilla/blurts-server/issues/480 … for our header changes.
Thanks!
one thing: Firefox checks for captive portals on a plain HTTP http://firefox.com URL - a preload would require that to change...
Or we would have to update our loader to ignore HSTS for that domain, but yes.
That probably is happening anyway right? You can pass flags to a loadURI to prevent that kinda thing. (I haven't looked at the captive portal code)
It seems I dreamed said flag... I'm gonna raise a bug so we can add that functionality to loading stuff as it seems fragile given it's from a pref.
yeah, I guess not too many users ever changed that pref... =)
I was thinking more that tor/cliqz all would have the same fragility. I raised a bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1494664 … @aprilmpls do you know if the captive portal is a blocker for preloading that domain?
AFAIK that's the only http://firefox.com subdomain accessible over HTTP, but @jvehent would likely know more than me.
If it's a blocker I'll try to get that prioritised higher.
