I didn't miss the dropdown; made sure mine was set to "All time," before clearing. Didn't make a difference. I remained logged into 2 sites, minimum. I could only get down to 2 after doing the browser reset. Prior to that, it was stuck at 4-10 sites.

Which sites is a good question. Is there a place in Chrome where it enumerates them? I only see a counter. No issues filed; I am still trying to understand the scope/impact.

chrome://settings/siteData?search=cookies will show the sites with Cookies.

http://mail.google.com [Cache, DB, and Local storage. SWs] http://www.google.com [Cache, File Sys, DB and local storage. SWs] http://chrome.google.com [Local storage] /clearBrowserData still reports "2 sites," but maybe they're using a zero-based index to count ;)

Clearing from /siteData also has no impact on the number of sites reported in /clearBrowserData. I assumed wiping out all of the properties in the former would lead to zero results in the latter.

It should. Months ago there were a few bug reports and fixes. Maybe something regressed.

I wish I had the faith and innocence of eLaw as far Chrome is concerned. Any of you guys on Chrome can repeat this "bug"?

Your theory here is that they've created a grand conspiracy in which they expose their grand conspiracy in their UI?

Nope, I don't believe in any form of conspiracy, I look at facts. I am seeing a willful effort of a company bent on tracking everything about everyone. Have take a look in AutoRuns how may hooks Chrome has to launch? It is ridiculous.

::shrug:: I don't have any real interest in convincing you of anything. I don't see anything interesting in AutoRuns, fwiw.
