I know you mean well, Eric, but really, a registry setting to switch off a feature? Besides, no-one can say for sure it's not ignored in the future. After all, they deliberately made the 'let's keep you signed in' step opt-out, when it was opt-in.

It's a registry setting to turn off the prompt to turn on a feature that's off-by-default. No-one can say for sure that any piece of software will not change in the future, which is a bit of a spurious argument.

That's fair, but as they changed sign-in from opt-in to opt-out, why should I trust them that they won't do that with sync's opt-in nature and make it opt-out? I find trusting them not do make that change a bit hard, based on their recent change with sign-in -> opt-out
