Adam explained it a little. They generate strong, unique passwords and store them securely. What
@troyhunt is referring is that websites do not have to “support” them in any way, all they have to do is _not_ to prevent pasting into username/password fields as pwmanager fills them -
"Support" is an ambiguous term.
