    For those who don't know her, is a high school junior in Washington State who sued , started a nationwide social movement on climate change & led a march on Washington DC so her generation can simply live. She means business.

    As a constituent of who SUED HIM OVER NOT TAKING CLIMATE ACTION I can testify to the fact that JAY ISNLEE HASN'T DONE SHIT ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE. Just ask the people suffering from the new fossil fuel projects he's approved. He is full of BS.

    This is a very good list. Also, random tip -- you can use it with Tweetdeck to keep track of some specific sub-field in climate that you're interested in. For example, create a column with a search like this: "Geoengineering list:khayhoe/scientists-who-do-climate" Super useful.

    Imagine thinking the risk posed by deficit spending is akin to the risk posed by climate change, i.e. the potential destruction of human civilization. Imagine that!

    I find it highly inconsistent that the opponents of Paygo in Congress argue passionately for action on climate change because of the long term risks while completely ignoring the long term risks of the federal debt.

    This hasn't received nearly enough coverage. Activists conducting tree sit ins have successfully delayed and pushed back construction for the Mountain Valley Pipeline in West Virginia and Virginia, and continue to do so.

    On DAY 120 of the Yellow Finch tree sits, Mountain Valley Pipeline has escalated the situation at the sits — their security has set up a "camp" on site to monitor the tree sitters.

    damn this article came at the perfect time. i was feeling mad cynical this morning riding my bike to work in 30 degree weather to reduce my own carbon footprint when 71% of emissions are caused by 100 companies. this article addresses the futility of guilt & how to channel anger.

    It's almost as if capitalism was the problem all along.

    IMO a lot of affluent liberals who hate Bernie & Warren hate them because Bernie/Warren basically reject the idea that we can just go back to the pre-Trump corporate status quo — a status quo that was great for affluent folks, and a crushing dystopia for millions of other people.
