I'm no journo or editorial mastermind but couldn't it be equally likely that Rosenstein wanted to keep his job because he was afraid (or knew?) who his replacement would be? Seems a little premature/clickbaity to smear Rosenstein. I feel like we'll have decades for that or not...
-
Amazing how the same compromised media outlets slimes Comey for writing a book and libel a three-decade public-serving prosecutor. Weird. Oh, and they gave us Trump.
-
Subject verb agreement. It’s not just for Democrats.
-
So stipulated. I wish this thing had an edit function that expired after two minutes.
-
Agreed.

that’s a pretty weak argument/example of being tough on POTUS given all the things he did to enable him
#ComeyLetter -
This feels like when some were proclaiming Barr to be a good guy. Evidence keeps piling up that Rosenstein is a GOP stooge.
-
No way. Rosenstein and Barr have had very different careers. Polar opposite
-
Maybe look at their behavior and not their “careers”
-
I don't have any sources or special insight. Can only judge what I see. Strike 1The Comey firing. Strike 2 Repping The Barr Memo Strike 3 Whack Speech I'm happy to hear from his defenders. I'd prefer him to be for the rule of law- for everyone. Just calling it how I see it.
-
Sorry the first 30 years weren't to your taste. He doesn't care, nor do I.

Time will tell.

Didn’t he apppint Mueller?

-
Life is all about what you do next. The options were he would need to recuse over Comey memo, but #3 at justice was already on the way out. Every day you’re doing something next. I think there is a lot of pressure to appease, and Rod is weak.
-
What have you done to protect this Republic, exactly, since you're so comparatively strong?
-
He sat before congress and swore an oath. And all I am saying is he was in a difficult position. Dealing w/ Trump would be the end of most of us. The stress has been traumatic. All I’m saying is I think Trump is a horrible bully and Rod has ended up giving him his lunch money.
-
It just seems to me he is less an independent arbitrator of the law and now drops Trump language like product placement in a sitcom.
-
Put another way... Michael Flynn made decisions every day too. What you do next matters. That doesn’t mean you don’t make mistakes; your reputation rests in the next right thing. Besides not firing him, did he limit Mueller’s reach? Were indictments Ron’s last “right” thing?

I love you man, but this tweet won’t age well Eric.

I can whip out a 22-year track record of accurate strategic forecasts when they mattered most. Thanks, though, anonymous account with no photo.
-
No problem man. As I said, I love and follow your work, and I AM just an anonymous, no-photo account. So, we’ll just have to see how it plays out. I’m sure with your 22-year track of accuracy, you’ll end up right. But shall we wait till then? What metric shalll we use?
-
Tell you what, here’s what I assert: that RR was, at all points in this saga, only looking out for RR & switched sides as the saga played out. While always projected the air of righteousness, he winked at and played
#BothSides for his own survival & the survival of his pension. -
Also, with your 22 year track record of blah-blah, can you explain where was: - the IRS when Trump committed $400 million tax fraud? - FINCEN when Trump committed 2 decades of money laundering? - the SDNY when the Trump campaign was running around with Russian agents in NY?
