    I couldn't figure out why this image picker callback was returning unreliable timestamps, given that the gallery app on the phone has everything sorted by time. Turns out, it's parsing exif data and using that instead of file or system timestamps. 🤦‍♂️

    I'm a copyright lawyer and this is my view: We as a society as a whole would be better off with no copyright at all than the copyright laws we have now. And before you start spouting about livelihoods, consider this - who'd hire a copyright lawyer if there's no copyright law?

    They've told Europe: You can have free speech, or copyright, not both. They will be believed. Make people choose, and they'll choose. My fellow artists: you will not like the choice they make. You have made piracy into a form of political protest today.

    Given that 2.0 included 3D object detection, I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple announces tomorrow that the new iPhone will have similar 3D mapping camera system in the back that the iPhone X currently has in the front. This would be a game changer for .

    I think is an interesting dark horse to watch because of their embrace of Intel SGX. If companies get to dictate the DRM on content they distribute, consumers should be able to dictate the DRM on personal data we upload. Which makes it easier to charge to use our data

    Stellar and also stellar-derived protocols like are going to be very interesting. Big fan of both teams.

    The title of the paper made me chuckle because it sounds like a contradiction "A High-Performance Software Graphics Pipeline Architecture for the GPU"

    Good read on implementing a software graphics pipeline in CUDA that comes within an order of magnitude of the OpenGL implementation's performance on a GTX 1080:
