O’Rourke was pressed at @UofSC on being the largest recipient of money from people who work for fossil fuel companies in #TXSen last year. His argument is that he was the largest recipient of money from individuals in every profession, though he turns away PAC and lobbyist money.

O’Rourke said he visited every Texas county, “did not allow oil and gas — any corporation, any special interest — to purchase access, to corrupt, to give the appearance of corruption.”

O’Rourke is accurate on this point: He raised $80 million last year, smashing Senate campaign fundraising records, and was the top recipient of individual donations from just about every industry among 2018 candidates.

Perfect answer. As though the people who work for these energy companies are not voters .

he also took exec money though. it’s not a complete nonissue. it’s not nearly as bad as some people make it out, but he did sign that he wouldn’t take over 200 buck donations from oil but he did

Seriously? Do you know anything about him? Or you're just voting because you're infatuated with his looks or manipulative personality? Please check his voting record and tell me he's not a corporate insider. Its sad that ppl like you keep voting in these corporate neo liberals
