An idea of a useful tech: some sort of a rectangular wood or stone area with a kind of “roof” where homeless people can store their stuff and receive mail. We’ll call it “Houzz”. Crap, that name is already taken.

Many people experiencing homelessness also have mental health issues with a lot of paranoia. There is no way this will be positively received by people who need help. Plus, can't we just use the money to house people?

I don’t have paranoia and I’m not okay with giving my biometric data away. To force homeless people to do so in order to access shelter and services (there’s obviously no opt out from the way they talk about the benefits) is horrible.

At the direction of
@MayorJenny , [Seattle HSD] is studying the possibility of mandatory biometric screening of homeless shelter and service clients, using fingerprints or other biometric markers to track the city’s homeless population as they move through the homelessness system -
